This product is designed for individuals who wish to enroll in a qualified high deductible health plan for use with a Health Savings Account as defined by the Internal Revenue Service. Or it can be used just as a high deductible health plan for individuals wanting to lower their monthly premiums.

Highmark West Virginia offers full integration with our vendor PFPC for Health Savings Account participation. With BlueAccount HSA, you can access account funds, check fund balances and account activity, and even submit medical and prescription claims all online through www.mybenefitshome.com.

Please keep in mind, with this product the Individual Deductible and Individual Out-of-Pocket Maximums only apply for a subscriber with individual coverage. For a subscriber with family coverage, the Family Deductible must be met by one or more members of the family before benefits will be paid. This product is designed for individuals who wish to enroll in a qualified high deductible health plan for use with a Health Savings Account as defined by the Internal Revenue Service. However, it is not a requirement of this product to open a Health Savings Account.
The decision is determined by each subscriber of the policy.
